Description
As makers, there are some conditions that cannot be erased from work. One of these is time. Even in media where we imagine we have seized time (such as photography), the inevitable forward movement of time continues to act. In this project, you will put aside ambitions of making “permanent” work in favor of making “temporary” work that recognizes and adapts to fluidity and change.
By the end of this project, you should have expanded the scope of your materials beyond the ones that can be traditionally preserved as art. Moreover, you must consider instability or change as a strategy of making.
